I was weak growing up. Really weak! In fact I don't know if it was possible to have worse genetics for becoming strong...
Back in 8th Grade I remember going through the Presidential Fitness Test. Perhaps you remember this test if you live in the US and they did it at your school.
Anyway, one of the tests was to see how many pullups you could do. After hanging from the bar I couldn’t budge an inch! In fact it was so far beyond me it didn’t even make sense in how it was possible.
My older brother was big, strong and a successful football player in high school. He wanted me to follow suit so he started me on a training program before I’d enter my freshman year.
When I started I couldn’t even do a regular pushup in good form!
But look at me now…
Over 2 ½ times bodyweight deadlift, freestanding handstand pushups and tiger bends, lifting over 1000 lbs, over 20 pullups in a single set, master of kettlebell juggling, pulling a firetruck by my hair, supporting half a ton in the wrestler’s bridge on my neck, 301 snatches in 10 minutes (when 200 is considered great), bending horseshoes, tearing through phonebooks and decks of cards, gold medals and first place in strongman and kettlebell competitions as well as much more.

I don’t share this to brag. I share this to say that I Started with Nothing and got here. If I could do it ANYONE CAN.
